Nestling in quiet woods, the Amaya Hills Hotel is a traditionally styled resort perched on a rocky outcrop in the verdant hills of Kandy. Its location offers you excellent panoramic views of the surrounding hillside and exudes a very tranquil atmosphere.
The architecture of the hotel is based on the design of Sri Lankan palaces and the decor emphasizes the rich historical past of the country. Even the rooms have a decor whose details have been borrowed from the temples and historic architecture of Kandy. Traditional Sun and Moon motifs have been used and the furnishing in deep colours evokes a glorious past.
All the rooms have a private balcony that offer fascinating valley or mountain views. Step out from some of the rooms in the morning and its not uncommon to see the clouds lingering around your cottage.
