Apart from its palm fringed golden sand beaches, the island provides many other breathtaking locations for organising weddings, enjoying a romantic honeymoon or for celebrating your love on a romantic getaway.
Whether you seek a champagne breakfast in bed, a romantic candlelit dinner in a luxury restaurant overlooking the sea or even a complimentary spa treatment to ease you into relaxation mode, we have sourced some of the choicest locations across the island to turn your romantic sojourn into a memory which will be etched forever in your minds.
Getting Married in Sri Lanka:
It is possible for British nationals to get legally married in Sri Lanka. What’s more, one can plan and organise weddings of any scale for a fraction of the cost of a wedding in the UK. You could choose to get married in traditional Sri Lankan style, opt for a regular Christian wedding or choose a style of your liking.
Getting married according to Sri Lankan traditions involves many fascinating and exciting features. Picture this... a procession with dancers and drummers in colourful attires, wedding singers, red carpets, an elaborately decorated Poruwa (stage), colourfully adorned elephants on which the groom can arrive at the location or for the couple to go away on, fireworks, special treatment for attending friends and family...the list is as exciting as it is endless.
Whether you choose to have an elaborate function (Why, you could even hire your own private beach on which to host the wedding) or tie the knot in a quiet function with only close family and friends. You are guaranteed to have an experience of a lifetime.
Our wedding specialists can plan and organise the whole event for you including helping you to choose your location, arranging accommodation for guests, organising rituals and managing the whole event.
