| Detailed Itinerary : |
Day 01: Arrival Colombo (40km/1hr) Welcomed by representatives of Sri Lanka Travel Centre at the Bandaranaike International Airport and transferred to the Regency hotel in Colombo. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. (Vehicle for the transfer)
Day 02: Colombo After breakfast, proceed to the Royal Colombo Golf Club. This 125 year old course is the oldest in Sri Lanka and the second oldest Royal Golf Club in Asia. The Club is a 6560 yard par 71 course and is situated just 15 minutes from Colombo. The course will be reserved for you for the day. Enjoy a day of golf before returning to the comforts of your hotel. Overnight at the hotel. (Vehicle at disposal)
Day 03: Colombo Pinnawela Kandy (130km/3hrs) Leave the hotel after an early breakfast and proceed to Kandy, visiting the elephant orphanage in Pinnawela on your way. The elephant orphanage provides shelter, nourishment and care for many elephants found wounded in the jungles, and abandoned by their herds. This orphanage offers an excellent opportunity to get up close and personal with the adorable pachyderm and the best time to visit these gentle giants is during their feedings hours, after which they enjoy a two hour long bath in the river nearby.Travel onwards to Kandy. Upon arrival in Kandy, take a tour of the city and the temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. Enjoy a cultural show featuring Sri Lankas traditional dance performances. Day 04: Kandy Today after breakfast, proceed to the Victoria Golf Club. This spectacular golf course was rated by Golf Digest as one of the 100 most Beautiful in the world. Built to USGA standards this 6945 yard, par 73 course rewards players who are prepared to take greater risks. Big hitters are challenged to put a ball in the reservoir below. The course will be reserved for you for the day. Enjoy a day of golf and return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight at the hotel. (Vehicle at disposal)
Day 05: Kandy Enjoy another day of golf at the Victoria Golf Club today. Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. (Vehicle at disposal)
Day 06: Kandy Peradeniya Nuwara Eliya (80km/2.5hrs) After breakfast travel to Nuwara Eliya, visiting the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya on your way. Established in the early 1800s, the Gardens are spread across 150 acres along Mahaweli River and offer a collection of over 300 species of orchids, medicinal plants, spices, palm trees and numerous other trees. Continue to Nuwara Eliya. Aptly known as the Little English Town, the city was founded by the British as a hill retreat to escape from the warm weather of the lowlands. The region is popular for its tea plantations that blanket the mountain ranges. You can also enjoy a guided tea factory tour. Overnight at The Grand. (Vehicle at disposal)
Day 07: Nuwara Eliya After breakfast, proceed to the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, located close to the hotel. Located 2000 m above sea level this 6100 yard, par 70 course is characterised by narrow fairways and thick rough between soaring trees and gauze bushes- a daunting challenge for those who stray from the straight to the narrow. The course will be reserved for you for the day. Return to the hotel in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the Grand. (Vehicle at disposal)
Day 08: Nuwara Eliya Proceed to Nuwara Eliya Golf Club in the morning for another round of golf. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at The Grand. (Vehicle at disposal)
Day 09 : Nuwara Eliya Kitulgala Colombo (200km/5hrs) After breakfast proceed to Colombo, visiting Kitulgala on your way. Kitulgala, located by the Kelani River, is the location where the award winning movie The Bridge over River Kwai was filmed. Today this location is also popular for some thrilling white water rafting. Continue to Colombo and check in to Mount Lavinia Hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore the city of Colombo. This highly underrated city boasts the perfect union between colonial imperialism and modern sophistication and offers a thriving art scene, fantastic culinary delights and high-end brands at bargain prices. Day 10: Colombo Departure (40km/1hr) Departure transfer to the airport for your return flight. (Vehicle for transfer).
